The first conference for training with Power took place on September 19th, coinciding with the weekend of Festibike and the end of the Vuelta a Espana. All thanks to the organizing effort of the Tamalpais, distributor of CycleOps Power in Spain.
Some 80 people attended the M2 forum to receive a conference on behalf of Michael McCormack (expert coach with ten years of experience) and Josu Larrazábal (physical coach of the cycling team Euskaltel the Basque Region) including a sampling of coaches, athletes, dealers and media.
In the first part of the conference, McCormack explained why he runs his business coaching with Power; its’ utility, advantages over coaching with heart rate and gave some notions on the concepts that exist in this type of Power training. Larrazábal, in turn, gave examples of how he has applied training with power in a professional team, and made clear that, in his opinion, PowerTap is the product that every professional and enthusiast should use.
