Marketing Coordinator
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for a variety of Marketing related duties, with focus on media outreach (approx. 50%), event planning (approx. 25%) and athlete outreach and management (approx. 25%).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for media outreach in an effort to keep Saris’ brands/products in front of consumers.
- Write press releases and media facing materials.
- Maintain contact with members of the media in coordination with Director of Marketing and Product Management.
- Send product samples to the press and maintain product sample budget.
- Maintain contact with external PR resources and PR events.
- Organize PR events.
- Plan for and coordinate Saris’ presence at trade shows and consumer events such as but not limited to Interbike, Eurobike, Frostbike, Saris Gala for the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin.
- Make travel arrangements for employee trade show attendance.
- Make set up arrangements for trade shows; coordinate shipments and arrange floor plan.
- Traffic shipments and product from head office to trade shows and back.
- Coordinate print materials for trade shows with in-house designer and printers.
- Ensure proper product display at events.
- Ensure budget accountability for event activities.
- Work with RMs to ensure events in their areas are activated with local dealers.
- Attend select consumer events as needed.
- Manage athlete relationships and needs in order to obtain maximum benefit from athlete relationships.
- Coordinate product shipments to sponsored athletes.
- Get content for CycleOps newsletter, photos and feedback from athletes to appropriate internal outlets.
- Administer 3point5 Pro Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the success of Saris Cycling Group.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
- 2-3 years experience in consumer hard goods marketing to include media outreach and event coordination.
- Prior experience preparing press releases.
- Must have excellent writing and grammar skills.
- Must be highly attentive to detail and highly organized.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
- Must be able to travel occasionally to trade shows and other events.
Beneficial Qualifications
- Marketing experience in the cycling industry, preferably IBD.
- Prior experience managing athlete relationships.
- Proficiency in graphic design.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
Purchasing Agent
Works under the direction of the Materials Manager and is responsible for the cost effective procurement of materials, products, equipment, supplies and services. Maintains bills of materials, routings, quality specifications and product costing. Is a member of product development teams and is involved in make/buy decisions. The position is also involved in production scheduling, and the justification for procurement of additional mfg equipment. Responsibilities may be adjusted to fit the skills of the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cost effective procurement of materials, products, supplies, equipment and services. Makes make/buy decisions based on costing analysis of products/components.
- Works with current MRP system to maintain manufacturing, inventory, part information current.
- Create and maintain bills of material, routings, Product Costing, and Quality Specifications.
- Analyzes products for cost reduction possibilities (design, manufacture, etc.)
- Member of new product development teams with involvement in sourcing for product.
- Scheduling of production floor and review of daily floor performance (daily build and down time sheets).
- Design and administration of system to monitor vendor performance.
- Provides backup to Materials Manager.
- Performs other duties when required or requested.
Education and Required Skills:
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
- 4 year degree in Industrial Engineering, Mfg Systems Engineering or equivalent education.
- 3-5 Years Experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
- Strong computer skills – including MS Office, Access, MS Project and experience working with ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV).
- Strong analytical & Problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of and experience working with Quick Response Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing and related efforts is helpful.
- Highly organized and detail orientated.
- Must be able to deal with a fast paced environment.

Payroll & Benefits Specialist
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist performs tasks necessary to process payroll and establish and maintain employee payroll records through ADP PayeXpert payroll system. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will also be responsible for a variety of benefit administration activities.
- Prepare and accurately input changes and information for all employee payroll records.
- Processes weekly and bi-weekly payroll and corresponding reports.
- Responds to employee payroll related questions.
- Notify employees when earnings garnishments begin and cease. Manages loan tracking and input into payroll.
- Prepare reports and provide information necessary for annual financial statement review, 401(k) audit, Workers Compensation audit and audits by State or Federal agencies if necessary.
- Advise the Human Resources Manager of concerns with payroll issues relating to procedures, policies, improper calculations, payroll deadlines and other similar issues; works with departments to resolve such concerns.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and respond to requests for information on an as-needed basis.
- Establish, implement, and maintain methods and procedures to assure all personnel pay actions are processed correctly and timely.
- Process new employee benefit elections and changes. Ensure accuracy of benefit information within payroll system.
- Reconcile and approve vendor payments relating to employee benefits.
- Answers questions, addresses concerns, and provides information to employee benefits.
- Participates in open enrollment, prepares communications and processes changes.
- Provide reporting out of payroll and timekeeping systems as needed.
- Notify all benefits providers when employment terminates and process required COBRA notifications and elections.
- Process Family Medical Leave (FMLA) and Workers’ Compensation paperwork and maintain associated files.
Essential Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Human Resources or Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience with payroll processing for similar sized employee group to include experience with ADP PayeXpert or similar system.
- Prior experience with benefit administration including enrollments, invoice reconciliation, employee changes and open enrollment.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Must be highly attentive to detail.
- Must be customer service oriented.
Beneficial Qualifications:
- Payroll experience in manufacturing environment.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Cycling industry experience.
- Other HR support experience including but not limited to recruitment, employee orientations, employee relations, training or compensation management.
