The firmware update will upgrade the internal software of your PowerTap, CycleOps USB Stick or Indoor Cycle computer. To ensure that your device has the most up-to-date features available, it is necessary to download and install the correct firmware version for your device.
Instructions
The correct firmware versions for each device are as follows:
PowerTap SL 2.4 (Wireless): 5.67
PowerTap SL or PowerTap Pro with coded heart rate: 4.06
PowerTap SL or PowerTap Pro without coded heart rate: 2.21
CycleOps USB Stick: 9.16
Indoor Cycle (wired, Home): 1.16
Indoor Cycle (wirless, Home): 10.39
Indoor Cycle (Club): 12.55
To view the firmware version currently on your cycle computer:
Let the computer time out so it is completely off.
Press any button to wake up the computer.
The version number will flash on the screen for 1 or 2 seconds.
To view the firmware version currently on your USB stick:
Open PowerAgent 7, plug in the USB stick and click the ‘Configure’ icon.
Select the ‘Hardware Setup’ tab and view the firmware version field.
If the firmware on your device is not the correct version, you will need to download and install the correct version.
Download and Install Updates
To download the most recent version of firmware for your device, click on the link below that matches your operating system and device. Connect your device to your computer, ensure it is in host mode and run the newly downloaded file. It is a simple file that does not require a bootloader or any other software application.
