First bike trainer I've owned, so I don't have any comparison, but I'm enjoying it so far. Rode it once with my normal hybrid tires and it was okay, once I swapped to the Saris Training Tire, it was awesome! I can't stress enough that you really need a training tire of some sort, this Saris one was night and day. Update the firmware before calibrating it too, the original factory setting was nuts and I barely reached the 21MPH benchmark the first time. Only complaint is that I had to borrow my daughter's iPad to calibrate it, the utility app has not been updated for use on the current Android OS. Saris, please fix that!
The trainer is good. The directions and assembly are not. The pivot bolt does not slide right into place as per the video. I had to fight it. And I am a bike wrench. Bottom line... good product. Bad support.

Not sure I completely understand the integration of the M2 with the Rouvy app. When I make the device ‘controllable’ to Rouvy, the M2 locks on the wheel so tight that I can’t pedal. So I ride without ‘controllable’ on with no issues. Rouvy does not support virtual shifting for this model which is fine.
Overall I do like the trainer as I use a quick release bike for indoors riding.
I'm not a big fan of trainers, but due to a health issue I was limited by my doctor to a trainer if I wanted to get back to riding after being off the bike for a few months. I didn't want to spend a lot, did not have high expectations, but I decided to get the M2 based on the recommendation of Ted King. It took only minutes to assemble and setting up the connections to my computer and devices was seamless. I went with the Rouvy app and really like the setup. The combination gives me performance features of much more expensive trainers at a fraction of the cost.
