This rack may not be perfect for every cyclist, but the overall package will be very attractive for a good chunk of the cycling community. I love the fact that there are two wheel clamps and tray straps; the bike is very secure once it is clamped in. I like the fact that there are hard stops for the rack arms so that they are not free to move downwards once set. Are there changes I wouldn't mind seeing? Yes, but mostly feature oriented. For example, I would like to see the rack accommodate wheelbases up to 52 inches. I would like to see a soft rubber liner on the wheel tray straps (not really a problem, but the hard plastic will probably slip and rub over time). I would like to see just a little beefier and wider tire hooks; they are currently lightweight plastic. The hitch tightener that you can get as an accessory has a lift edge that slightly overlaps the outer edge of the 2" adapter for the 1.25" hitch bar version of the rack (it still works, but if the receiver's pin hole were only slightly deeper in, the tightener might not work at all). But lest you think I am at all unhappy with this item, consider: this rack is very light and compact and thus easy to install and remove from a hitch, and some of these enhancements would add a lot of weight. I had been unable to find a quality rack that clamped both wheels, carried two bikes >50 lbs each, cost under $600, took up to 50" wheelbases, AND was light enough for someone with a few back issues to easily install and detach quickly. If your budget is $5-600 and you need to carry two bikes, then you should consider this rack. It works very well.
